Delivery Manager

Position Overview

We are seeking a dynamic individual to fill the role of Delivery Manager. In this position, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful delivery of technical projects whilst championing development methodologies within our organisation. You will be responsible for overseeing of the management of projects, coordinating tasks, resources and timelines to ensure timely delivery and high-quality outcomes. The successful candidate will demonstrate an ability to effectively manage and mentor delivery teams and apply interpersonal and problem-solving skills to successfully deliver projects.

Main Responsibilities and Duties

• Coach and mentor team members on project methodologies
• Track and report progress, velocity and team metrics
• Continuously seek opportunities to improve team performance and efficiency
• Ensure transparency and communication within the team and with stakeholders
• Lead the planning, execution and delivery of projects
• Manage project tasks, issues, risks and deliverables
• Coordinate tasks and dependencies across cross-functional teams
• Communicate and present project status, milestones and dependencies to stakeholders
• Foster a collaborative and high-performing team environment
• Work closely with product owners, developers and other stakeholders to ensure alignment and shared understanding of project goals
• Encourage teamwork, self-organisation and accountability within the team 

Qualifications / key skills required

• Proven experience as a Delivery Manager
• Strong understanding of development and project methodologies
• Experience using Azure DevOps or a similar work management tool
• Ability to work across multiple projects within a changing environment
• Familiarity with software development processes and technologies
• Excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills
